ABOUT

Who we are

The Canadian Source-to-Supper Network is a Canadian non-profit corporation focused on food education, food access, community food security, research and collaborative initiatives. Based in Prince Edward Island, we develop and support practical programs that help strengthen the connections between local food, communities and households.

WE DON'T WORK ALONE

Our own programs, strengthened by collaboration

While we have our own programs and initiatives, we also work with PEI Food Strong Inc., PEI Cooks, PEI Good Eats and other Food Strong Network members when our work intersects.

That may mean sharing community insight, helping shape or test ideas, supporting outreach, contributing research, connecting people and organizations, or collaborating on initiatives that benefit from more than one part of the network.

We also work with municipalities, community organizations, schools, researchers, producers, businesses and government when their involvement can help turn a good idea into practical action.

THE FOOD STRONG NETWORK

Connected by a shared source-to-supper mission

The Food Strong Network is a connected ecosystem of programs, platforms and people working toward a stronger, more resilient food system for Prince Edward Island. It began with a few simple questions: what do we need, and what do we already have that is not being used - and how do we put it to work?

The ecosystem spans food education, community cooking, food security, content and advocacy - all built around the belief that community is the engine of a healthy food system. From farm to table, from producer to household, every part of the ecosystem is connected by a single thread: source to supper.

"What do we need, and what do we already have that is not being used? How do we put it to work?"

OUR ROLE

We work alongside PEI Food Strong Inc., PEI Cooks, PEI Good Eats and other Food Strong Network members, while maintaining our own legal structure, governance and responsibilities.
